December 2009 Rewild Camp

December 27th @ Colonel Summers Park
Drop-in from 10am-4pm.

Yo peeps. This is the next installment of Rewild Portland, a free open space gathering and skill-share for rewilding. Bring a skill to work on and share or come for fun conversation.

This month we will be at Colonel Summers Park on SE Belmont and 20th. There is a shelter there we will most likely utilize. For more on the park:

Stuff To Bring:
• Raw materials for your project
• If you plan to be there all day, a sack lunch is appropriate.
• Water
• Snacks (to share?)
• A carving knife
• A bandanna
• Dress for variations in the weather (cold and rainy!)
• A chair or something to sit on

This is an all inclusive space for people of all types of abilities and backgrounds to learn and share with each other. Please be aware of oppressive language (this includes body language) and if you are the type of person who talks a lot step back more and if you don’t talk a lot step up more so that it feels safe and balanced for everyone.

Please bring any materials you need for your project. The park does not allow harvesting of any material and we want to make nice with the park people if they are there. 🙂

This event may be documented with digital media to be used online (www.rewild.info) for the purpose of inspiring others to run a rewild camp in their own locale. If you don’t wish your face to be filmed or photographed, please bring a bandanna to wear, or simply step out of the way of my camera (I will let you know if I plan to snap a photo).

Please RSVP in the comments below, including a skill you may be working on, or one you would like others to share with you. Thanks, and we’ll see you there!
