Portland Spoon Club is a social gathering for green woodworkers to carve in company and to share techniques, resources & stories. We provide chopping blocks and mallets. Bring your carving tools and greenwood. Bring wood to share! Bring snacks to share! Folks are encouraged to swap & sell their crafts. The location is sheltered, but outdoors, come prepared for the weather.
Held on the 3rd Sunday of each month from 10am-4pm (MARCH HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED FROM 3/15 TO 3/22)
Located in the Buckman neighborhood in central southeast, Portland OR
Participants must be at least 16 yrs old
No dogs allowed
Bring a chair, your tools, wood, lunch, snacks to share
Suggested donation of $5-10, with no one turned away
PORTLAND SPOON CLUB IS NOT A CLASS, but space is made for new folks to give it a try. There are some basic tools to borrow. To help new folks get started safely, a crash course is offered at the beginning of the day, but after the crash course, new folks should be prepared to explore the craft with experimentation and playfulness.
