We congregated at the Waypost yesterday for something a little bit different from the usual- a story/song-share! Friends brought many colorful tales and tunes to to share while twisting cordage, sanding beads, spinning yarn, and sewing pouches. It was awesome! [scrollGallery id=33]

We gathered with friends at Whitaker Ponds on Saturday to process acorns, crushing, grinding, winnowing, and leeching. Sarah brought some baked acorn treats that proved to be quite tasty. We gathered at Irving Park yesterday to practice our fire starting skills with good friends. There were bow-drills, hand-drills, and fire plows. The ground was also littered with acorns from the surrounding oak trees, which made gathering quick and easy. [scrollGallery id=28]
