Niko, I like that idea.  Have you ever heard of co-counseling?  After some very frustrating experiences with a therapist, I decided that if I ever sought counseling again, it would be co-counseling.  But sometimes just a good conversation with a friend about something that is important to both of us can feel like therapy.

If you want to have a conversation about social/relationship/psychological struggles on rewild.info, I would suggest either this topic ("Relationships/Marriage/Partnerships") or "Grief and Praise" (I think it's in Philosophy of Rewilding.

Good luck!

Hey BlueHeron!

Thanks very much for the link to the Wikipedia article about co-counseling. I followed the links & saved a few web pages from co-counseling sites, which I'll read over this weekend.

It sounds sort of like support groups to me, but I guess it's probably something quite different. I too have been very frustrated with conventional psychotherapy, psych meds (which I absolutely refuse to take anymore) & the whole psychiatric system in general.

It sounds to me like at least some people who get into rewilding have some serious psychological problems to deal with -- like me -- & are looking for an alternative to civ's way of dealing with these things.
