Rewilding Mind & Heart / Rewilding In Action
« on: August 22, 2007, 01:25:55 PM »
If someone came to you and said that they plan to move into the wilderness the following day, would you be eager to join with them?
If not, why?
( Think of this thread as a analogical possibility.)

Visions of the Rewilding Renaissance / The Great Human Rat Race
« on: August 20, 2007, 10:07:07 AM »
What is the point of the rat race that comprises civilization?
A utopia? We will never see it presently and everyone knows this.
Does it exist so that people can say I owned more cars, technological gadgets, consumer materials, and expensive houses, right before the moment of their deaths where they lose everything?
Does it exist just for that one second moment before death where one can say, " I had all of these things that defined me as a person and therefore I am better than all the rest?"
None of us I assure you is going to step into death with our possessions as such an entity only accepts dead corpses by themselves instead.
So, what then is the point of the rat race? Where is it all going?
Why does anyone even bother?

Spiritual Technology / The art of mythical stories and metaphors
« on: August 20, 2007, 09:02:08 AM »
I always admire some of the primitive tribal stories and metaphors told to newer generations as time goes by of a single tribe.
What do others here believe the significance of such stories are on a tribe spiritually?
I truely believe that this is one of the first steps that constructed man's consciousness.

Tracking & Awareness / Hunting deer and elk
« on: August 20, 2007, 08:58:04 AM »
What are the odds of hunting a deer or elk with a spear?
( Probally slim since they are really fast.)
I was planning on trying a technique of hunting deer with spears from tree tops above the ground.

Rewilding Mind & Heart / Imagine
« on: August 18, 2007, 11:44:46 AM »
Imagine a place where you control your own destiny and form of living without one looking over you all the time.
Imagine a world where everything is at your disposal instead of yourself being constantly disposed to others in chains.
Imagine a world without restraint where there is beauty to be found in everything or where people strive together to survive through both the good and extremes times that present themselves growing together in their individual relationships stronger each day.
Imagine living every moment, breath and movement of life on your own time without ever having to set eyes on a clock.
What is stopping you from living that life?

Rewilding Mind & Heart / Simplicity
« on: August 18, 2007, 11:38:58 AM »
What does it truely mean to be a anarcho primitivist? Our movement is one of finding simplicity where we can reconnect ourselves with our natural enviroment fighting to survive on our own skills instead of having someone over our shoulder in telling us what to do with our very own lives.
Ultimately I think Language, metaphors, symbols, descriptions, and various applications of installing how reality should be is a lost of faith in sense perception without words.
I much more admire and prefer moments in life where I enjoy things without speaking, without classification, or without thought.
When one holds their lover and child there is no words, thoughts, or classifications but just the simple enjoying essence of momentary being.
This is where I see the self defeating motion of such deceptions, traps and disguises of men from that of civilization.
Ask yourself this:
Why must everything in life be classified, described, or controlled?
What purpose or agenda does this serve?
Does this not take out the enchantment of living or being alive?

Visions of the Rewilding Renaissance / You have to fight for the right to be alive.
« on: August 18, 2007, 11:30:47 AM »
In my opinion those who do not fight for the right to be alive have no appreciation of living and therefore don't deserve to be alive.
" In nature there is conflict and survival of the fittest means to strive against conflicting forms of adversity by individual will alone."
Everyday it seems that civilized people hide behind their conventional morals, laws, dictations, and rules as to shield themselves against all forms of conflict where they have no appreciation of life since everything falsely becomes a given to them in comparison.
Thoughts?

Tracking & Awareness / Bears, Wolves, And Mountain Lions.
« on: August 18, 2007, 11:25:07 AM »
It has come to my attention that where I am going to be there will exist bears, wolves and mountain lions in the location I'm setting up in two years.
I'll be honest that I like cooking meat rather then eating it raw and most likely I will have to store my food somewhere to last me a couple of months.
How will I be able to do that without having the attraction of surrounding predatory species in my camp?

Visions of the Rewilding Renaissance / Trade And Economics. Man's Synthetic Imagination.
« on: August 17, 2007, 09:34:59 AM »
Human beings are the only species to trade that I am aware of with our form of living being dictated by a social constructed science known as economics.
While other animals do exchanges amongst each other for pleasure this seems to be more of a barter which I assure you is much more different then that of the subject known as trade.
It is interesting to note that what most people think to be the foundation of natural human advances and progression is nothing but an extension of this synthetic system being in all actuality a prosthetic itself.
Even more interesting is that this social science called economics is guided by morality another insidious synthetic device.

Visions of the Rewilding Renaissance / Destructive Self Fulfilling Prophecy
« on: August 15, 2007, 03:35:24 PM »
I think civilization is a self fulfilling prophecy.
Self fulfilling prophecy being:
I also believe nature has nothing to do with civilized means of existance by having no influence on us whatsoever in such constraints of our own making.
Our suffering is because we have blocked out the influence of nature entirely.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Self_fulfilling_prophecy
Self fulfilling prophecy being:
Quote
A self-fulfilling prophecy is a prediction that, in being made, actually causes itself to become true. For example, in the stock market, if it is widely believed that a crash is imminent, investors may lose confidence, sell most of their stock, and actually cause the crash. Or, if a candidate in an election openly declares he does not believe he can win, this may increase voter apathy and result in poor support for his campaign.
Quote
In other words, a false prophetic statement — a prophecy declared as truth when it is not — may sufficiently influence people, either through fear or logical confusion, so that their reactions ultimately fulfill the false prophecy.
The effects of teacher attitudes, beliefs and values, affecting their expectations have been tested repeatedly.[2]
I also believe nature has nothing to do with civilized means of existance by having no influence on us whatsoever in such constraints of our own making.
Our suffering is because we have blocked out the influence of nature entirely.
